Abdullah Ahmed AlShaheen AlRabeea

Chairman

Abdullah is a Senior private equity professional with over 25 years of working experience in Senior Management positions. He has worked in all major capital markets (GCC, North Africa, Asia, Europe and USA) in Private Equity and several investment funds. He is also Chairman of Injazat Invest North Africa S.A (Morocco) and Oryx Industries (Fujairah, UAE). He is currently on the Board of several companies in the investment, real estate, trading and SME sectors in UK, GCC and MENA region. In his previous role he was CEO of an investment group in Kuwait and prior to that he was Head of Direct Investments Department in the Industrial Bank of Kuwait. He was formerly on the Board and various committees of Investment Banking sector. He has a BA in Accountancy, Kuwait University and is a Certified Public Accountant from the Ministry of Commerce, Kuwait.

Essam Qasem Abul

Vice Chairman & Managing Director

Mr. Essam has over 30 years of finance and investment banking experience across diverse sectors in the MENA region. He is a Board member of Oryx Industries (Fujairah – UAE). He was previously executive vice president with an investment group in Kuwait and prior to that with Industrial Bank of Kuwait as Head of Corporate Finance. His experience includes acquisition, post investment management and successful exit of various private equity deals. He has been actively involved from the pre-feasibility stage through growth and expansion for various investments covering building material, manufacturing, natural resources, energy, food & beverage, healthcare, real estate and financial services. He has a BSc in Commerce and Accountancy from Kuwait University.

Bader AlKhashti

Executive Director

Bader is an investment management professional with over 20 years of experience in setting-up new businesses, company turnaround, market/product positioning, financial restructuring and has worked with various sectors such as industrial production, real estate, logistics, medical equipment, education, food & beverage and telecommunications. He is currently Executive Director of Oryx Holding). Prior to this he was the CEO one of a private company operating at Gulf Region. Earlier to that Bader was Senior Manager of the Post Acquisition Management Department of an Investment group in Kuwait. Bader began his career as Credit Officer, Corporate Finance division of The Industrial Bank of Kuwait. Bader has a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Old Dominion University Virginia, USA.

Mohammad Abul

Executive Director

Mohammad Abul is currently the Chairman and CEO of Waref holding Company, a subsidiary of Oryx Holding. Before that, he was EVP business development at Al Kout Industrial Projects Company, a chemical manufacturing company. Before that, he was a regional VP at Gulf Cryo holding company, a regional leader in industrial gases with the responsibility of its subsidiaries in Kuwait, KSA, Qatar, Bahrain, and Iraq. Mohammad is a board member in Kuwait National Fund for Small and Medium Enterprises Development. He was the Chairman of Shuaiba Oxygen Company, board member in Al Kout Industrial Projects Company, board member in Al Dorra Petroleum Services Company, and board member in Al Ahlia Chemical Company. At the beginning of his career, he worked in KPC international marketing and then join KGL, a logistics and supply chain company. Mohammad holds a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from Maastricht School of Management in the Netherlands and a Bachelor of Since in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toledo in Ohio, USA.

Tarek Taher

Executive Director

Tarek Taher has more than 25 years of experience in the financial management and post-acquisition domains. He has worked in the metal production, construction, building material, publishing, telecom, medical services, education and F&B sectors. He is currently the CEO of Shaqraa Agriculture & Animals Products Co. He was previously with an investment company based in Kuwait, Kuwait Investment Authority, the Industrial Bank of Kuwait and the National Bank of Kuwait. He has a Bachelor of Commerce from Alexandria University, Egypt and a post graduate degree from Sadat Academy for Management Sciences, Egypt. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Financial Management (FAAFM) and a Certified Private Equity Specialist (CPES).

Hasan Al Mansoor

Executive Director

Hasan is a Certified Finance and Investment professional with a distinguished career and proven track record over 20 years of experience in finance and investment across multiple sectors including investment banking, real estate, aviation, and assurance services. He was previously managing a diversified investment portfolio of a leading regional investment group, the CFO of a Bahrain-based investment bank, and a Director of a regional real estate investment group where he managed assets across the MENA region and Europe and established an asset management firm in Saudi Arabia. He is a Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA) from the United Kingdom and holds an MBA in Financial Management from University of Manchester (UK).

Suman Misra

Executive Director

Suman is a private equity professional, having more than 20 years of experience in investment banking & private equity, industrial finance, principal investing and mergers & acquisitions. He has led several acquisitions and has successfully managed several exits from portfolio companies. He is a turnaround professional having played key roles in the post-acquisition management of acquired companies. Previously, He was a Senior Director for investment strategy in a GCC-based group. Prior to that, he was managing Asian investments of an investment company based in Kuwait. Suman has also worked in several positions at Unicorn Investment Bank (Bahrain), Industrial Bank of Kuwait and Alghanim Industries (Kuwait). Suman is a Fellow member of The Institute of the Chartered Accountants of India.

Ayman Ebada

Executive Director

Mr. Ebada has over 22 years of experience in finance and accounting. He has managed commercial and accounting activities in industrial and construction businesses as well as investment firms. He is responsible for consolidating financial reports from all operating companies in the Group and for making financial business decisions, monitoring business performance, handling budgets and supervising accounts. He determines accounting and financial management frameworks in order to monitor and enhance reporting performance. He seeks emerging finance standards, applications and technology platforms to ensure the Group leverages the latest performance tools. Ayman has an MBA and a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from Mansoura University, Egypt.

Ahmed Abu Zaid

Executive Director

Mr. Abu Zaid has over 34 years of experience where he practiced law and provided legal advice. In his current role, he is the legal consultant for the Group and a board member in some of the portfolio companies. He has negotiated, drafted and advised on legal agreements and commercial contracts relating to company formation and acquisitions including term sheets, share purchase and shareholders agreements. He monitors the development of applicable laws, rules and industry standards, and advises on the likely impact on operations. He assists and supports all compliance activities and evaluates internal controls, finance, accounting procedures. Previously he was a legal advisor in a number of law firms in Kuwait. He holds a Bachelor of Law from Alexandria University, Egypt.

Abdullah Al-Ali

Director

Abdullah has over 10 years of experience in banking and real estate investments. He is a specialist in financial structuring, leasing and marketing commercial and residential real estate projects. He led consortium finance arrangements for major commercial real estate projects in Kuwait based on PPP schemes. Abdullah is currently a senior investment officer in an investment holding company with a diversified portfolio. Mr. Al-Ali majored in public relations at the University of Massachusetts (Boston, USA) and graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the American University of Kuwait.

Faisal Abul

Director

Faisal is a skilled information security specialist with over 6+ years of experience in the banking sector in Kuwait. He has coordinated several assignments in information security, compliance, and infrastructure management His work included application development, access control tasks, protecting bank assets and information, social engineering tasks and analyzing users’ behavior patterns, and provide employees with security awareness lectures. Currently, he works in an investment holding company with a diversified portfolio in the capacity of senior investment manager. Mr. Abul has a BS in Computer Science from Gulf University for Science and Technology (Kuwait).

Ahmed Abul

Director

Ahmed has 3 years of working experience in the industrial field. Ahmed started his carrier by working in Fujairah, UAE for a period of six months in Oryx Industries (Oryx Crusher, Oryx Transport, and OryxMix Concrete Products). He then moved to Dubai as an Operations’ Engineer in OryxMix Concrete Manufacturing. Since early 2020, Ahmed moved to Kuwait in the capacity of operation and marketing director of Oryx Kuwait Building Material. Ahmed holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Fullerton.
